She was the wife of Arthur Pomfret. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William H. and Annie (Morrison) Byron, she lived in Cranston for 30 years before moving to Coral Gables 11 years ago. She summered in Scarborough for 48 years. Mrs. Pomfret worked for the Providence School Department as a clerk at Mount Pleasant High School for 15 years before retiring. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Brian W. Pomfret of Portland Ore., and Michael T. Pomfret of Longmont, Colo.; a daughter, Patricia Hotchkiss of Fort Collins, Colo., and three grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph and William Byron. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.   Burial: Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown. Obituary: Providence Journal, 25 May 1959: Mrs. Beatrice (Pomfret) Votto of 22 Rill St., died Saturday night in the Roger Williams General Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Timothy Votto. Born in England, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Hilton) Pomfret, she had lived in the MOunt Pleasant section of Providence for the last 4 years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Mary G. Votto, a son, Timothy Votto, both of Providene; a sister, Mrs. Annie Gorman of Johnston and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the J. F. Skeffington Chapel, 925 Chalkstone AVe, with a requiem Mass in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Pomona Avenue, at 11. Burial will be in North Burial Ground.
